Like most mission works, ours will begin with a lot of legwork and door knocking.  We will have to make ourselves known in the Hispanic community and let them know that we care about them and, more importantly, so does God.  Witnessing to individuals and reaching them for Christ will then allow us to reach out to their family and friends.  This will be the beginning of a new local church.

My wife and I have worked with children for many years.  We know that one way to reach out to families is to reach their kids.  We'll offer activities that will draw the families in, then make sure the Gospel is presented in everything that we do.

We realize that we will be dealing with people who are, for the most part, Biblically ignorant.  They don't know about Joseph and Elijah or King David and Jonah.  They've not heard the truth about the disciples and the beginning of the church.  Training and discipling these new converts will be a great part of our ministry.  Obviously, they must grow in Christ just as all of us have if they are going to work to reach others as we all should.

Either God will eventually provide a qualified Pastor to take over this work, or He'll allow us to train Pastors to go out and help start other works across the southeast and the rest of the country.  Either way, we believe God is going to use us to spread the Gospel to MANY Hispanics here in this country.
